Design

Our cell phone packaging typically features our EasyOpen design, which eliminates the need for sharp instruments to open the package, while preserving device security with tamper evident measures. One customer who transitioned to this EasyOpen package has seen its injury reports reduced to zero, and with over 13 million packages in the market, this has significantly imporved the brand's image.

Planograms

A planogram defines which product is placed in which area of a shelving unit and with which quantity. We look at the planograms for each cell phone sector and optimize our packages to comply with these planograms. Our cell phone packages have minimal footprints, allowing for the preferred amount of packages to be displayed on retail shelves.

When one package remains on a retail peg hook, a new box is brought out to replenish the stock. Since cell phone packages typically ship in groups of four, most retailers prefer five packages on each peg hook so there are no extra packages to inventory when a new box is opened. Our cell phone packaging is designed to comply with this peg hook and planogram space utilization.

Cube configurations are getting smaller and smaller, with many cell phone packages consisting of simply a phone, car or AC charger and paper or billboard explaining how the system works. Partnering with a thermoformer who understands planograms and shipping paradigms for these bundled kit mini-packages is crucial.

Assembly and Fulfillment

We create not only with the consumer in mind, but we also engineer with a focus on assembly and package fulfillment, which can be a labor intensive process. Assembly and fulfillment is a key component to cell phone packaging that plays a vital role in cost structures, but can easily be overlooked during the cell phone package design process.

You can spend up to three times what you need to because of an inefficent design. We understand that every piece in the package is secured and sealed, tying up valuable resources. The ability to design with these people systems in place has allowed us to lower costs by 50 percent in some cases, by reducing the amount of people it takes to load packages. Addressing the people systems is another value added component to our cell phone packaging.

Die Line and Seal Tool Development

Graphic card location and size is determined at PI. This not only saves time on your end, it allows for perfect fit and function. We are also mindful of the UPC location to assure proper scans at checkout. Our Engineering staff also provides part drawings to your seal tool vendor. This assures accurate fit and performance in the seal process.

Our die line and tooling relationships have allowed us to include art card geometry and additional graphic options for our cell phone packaging so we can provide every conceivable solution to our cell phone packaging customers.
