Plastic Ingenuity is proud to share we earned Gold in the Sustainable Medicines Packaging Awards presented at Connect in Pharma in Geneva, Switzerland on September 14. This top honor in the Circularity category recognizes our circularity solutions for thermoformed plastics along the pharma value chain.

The inaugural Sustainable Medicines Packaging Awards are an international, independently judged competition that celebrates sustainability innovations revolutionizing pharmaceutical packaging to reduce the environmental impact of healthcare. The Circularity category showcases innovations in packaging services, processes, partnerships, or products that bring circularity into the pharma packaging supply chain.

The awards are organized by YewMaker and the Sustainable Medicines Partnership, an innovation incubator with a mission to build, test, and scale science-based sustainable healthcare solutions. “Collaboration and innovation are essential to delivering the changes needed to make sustainability core to how pharmaceutical packaging is designed and used,” said Dr. Nazneen Rahman, founder of YewMaker and Non-Executive Director at AstraZeneca.
