Here at Plastic Ingenuity, we’re continuously examining industry trends and learning as much as we can about the packaging industry. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the organizers of the 2014 Thin Wall Packaging Conference have invited Michael Schubert, our production engineer manager, to host a workshop on the Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification for food packaging.
Schubert’s Presentation on the SQF Certification
Because Schubert is so involved in the production side of packaging, he has developed an extensive knowledge on the subject of the SQF certification. He will be relaying that information, as well as the necessary steps required to gain the SQF certification, to conference goers during his workshop.
The SQF certification originated as a way to ensure food is consistently safe for consumption for consumers. Food service, retailers and regulatory agencies recognize this business-driven initiative worldwide. Food safety is the utmost importance for food packagers, so the SQF certification is a very highly regarded industry standard and utilized inmany companies’ packaging solutions. We proudly abide by the SQF certification for our line of plastic packaging solutions.
This Year’s Thin Wall Packaging Conference
In addition to Schubert’s presentation, the conference will focus on other topics related to plastic packaging, like emerging plastic technologies and industry market trends and developments. Presentations will specifically discuss the consumer shift toward convenient, on-the-go food packaging.
Presenters will also examine the applications, materials and technologies utilized to create plastic items such as trays, tubs, cups and more for today’s packaging market.
